Thank You!

We really enjoyed our trip to Utah, and to see the Braithwaites and Heywoods. Thanks for your kindness! Even though Austin started getting a little homesick the night before the MTC - saying goodbye, and knowing his cousin is coming home 1 1/2 weeks too late to see him was a bit hard on him - it was a great trip overall!  We really appreciate all our angels that made this trip possible!!!

Austin would love to hear from all of you! He will be in the MTC in Provo until May 12. Then we are hoping his visa comes in so he can then travel to the MTC in Madrid. Here is his Provo address:

Happy Birthday Kayla!

We are thinking about you today! You will always remember the day that Ausitn entered the MTC. I will post pictures later of Austin. I hope you have a great birthday year and that all your dreams come true! We love you !

Happy happy B-earth-day...

Kayla dear. Happy days will come to you all year. If I had one wish, then it would be, a happy happy birthday to you from me!

Kayla - What a happy day! You are one year older, and wiser too :) I think you are the best person to share your birthday with Earthday. You are always so kind and caring to everyone around you. Respectful and responsible too. I'm so glad you are my cousin and my friend!

Love you!!!

Austin

We are thinking of you and your upcoming big week. We don't know your plans but we would love to see you before you enter your new home of the MTC. You are going to be an amazing missionary. We will send some care packages to you. We love you!

Summer - Summer - Summer - Enjoy!

I am sitting here this evening thinking about what will happen this summer. High School Graduations - Missions (some coming home and some going out) - Camps - Youth Activities (Allie and Kyle are going on TREK) - Girls Camp - Trips to bath in the sun and cool waters of CA - I am sure that there is at least one or two family reunions also. There is probably so much more.

I am secretly hoping that we will have a visit or maybe two from Grammy and Papa. I am hoping that Uncle Bruce was serious when he told me that he wants to go 4-wheeling with me. I kind of like that activity and most of you know that. Our family wants to go camping together and maybe a hike now that Rachel can walk faster then Mommy and Dad.

What kind of fun things are the rest of you up to this summer? I am looking for fun and unique things.

Austin - Don't feel like you are being left out here, preaching the gospel was a ton of fun for me, it just takes practice and right heart. You will do so well. Have fun.

Kayla

Last week when I was a Grammy's, she was telling me how great Kayla's piano recital was. What a great job she had done and how it was too bad I wasn't there as well. I was so sad that I hadn't been. But, now I can say with Grammy that Kayla's songs were beautiful. (She played them for us at Grammy's on Easter). So Kayla, bravo to you for a job well done!!!

So is this April Fool's still??

Okay, so of all the crazy days! I was called out of the house quickly this morning. You'll have to check the Fackrell Family blog to see the details of that event.

I walked in the house and there was a message on the phone. It was Fraud Alert, asking for Kayla to call immediately. Within 1/2 hour they called again. (Automated call of course.)

When Kayla called them about some recent activity on her card, she discovered that someone had used her card 3 times today already. And that was at 10:00 this morning. I am so thankful they were so on top of it and called her so quickly. Just wish they were April's Fooling!!!

Dave's Mission President

Wow!!! Elder (President) Stevenson was an incredibly amazing speaker at conference today. I was totally drawn into his tour through my house. . . I definitely have some remodeling jobs to get started on!  I mentioned what an awesome speaker he was, and Grammy told me he was Dave's MP. And there sat Dave - with obvious fondness and admiration for this man he has grown to love! What a powerfully insightful man of God!

Austin is speaking. . .

April 12th is the day! Austin will be the first speaker at church that day. He will be speaking with a returning missionary - Karl Palmer. I have to admit that last Sunday I stole a peak at Austin sitting there all missionary-like, and I found myself suddenly looking through a thick layer of water. You know, the kind of water that quickly flows to the surface of the eyes in all members of the elite AEC (Artesian Eye Club). You got it. Tears. Yep. But I controlled it. They went away just as quickly as they arrived.

It will only be a couple more weeks, then he won't be missionary-like anymore. He'll BE a missionary. And for that I am truly pleased.

We'd love to see all our family at church next Sunday. Starts at 9:00. You'll recognize me. I'll be the smiling mom with tears brimming in my eyes. :)

Question

Do we know what date Jake will be giving his homecoming address? I know he comes home at the beginning of May, but wasn't sure if he was also speaking that weekend or not...
