Aunt Monica and Uncle Roger are leaving on Sunday to Ukraine! I am so excited for them! Hopefully things in the Ukraine go as quickly as they have been going for them. I can't wait to meet the cousin who I've sensed has been missing while I've been with the QC Heywoods a few times in the past.

o fun fun, i hope that goes well
I have not heard anything about this. Are they bringing back Sasha? What is the scoop? This is so exciting.
We are hoping that they get to bring Sasha back, but at this point we are not sure what will happen. After two years of no contact, Sasha's aunt went to visit her last week, and snuck in her birth mother, who had no visiting rights. We talked to Sasha and she didn't seem overly excited that her mother had come, but she did say her mother said she was going to try to get her back. If her mother petitions to get her rights back, all adoption processes involving Sasha hault until the government makes a ruling on regarding the mother. We told her we want what is best for her and would be happy to support her in still having a relationship with her birth family. She was more reserved than normal on the phone, but was still excited my parents were going to the Ukraine, and eager to take her turn cooking dinner at our home. This is not an easy situation for a ten year-old girl to be in, and an even harder decision for her to make. We are praying that the Lord's willl will be done, that whatever is best for Sasha will happen. We of course would have a hard time with her not joining our family, but more important is her best interest. Please continue to pray with us that we and all involved will do the Lord's will. And thank you for all of your prayers and support up to this point
