As Morgan requested, here is an update on my parents in the Ukraine. We have emailed quite a bit, and talked to them a few times. Obviously, they got there safely. Things went well there first day in court, so they received permission to go to the orphanage and look at the children. They rode the night train out to the country and are now staying about forty miles away from the orphanage. Yesterday they were able to see both Sasha and another little girl. Despite what we were told before they left, it looks like there is more hope in regards to Sasha than we had thought. It would still be difficult, but she told one of the workers that she would rather come to us than her mother. We don't know what all this means, they should hopefully get some more of the needed information early next week. Alena, the other girl they met with is quiet and shy, but seems to be warming up to them. The only other news rather than it still being a waiting game for us, is that it has been snowing there, things move slowly and are more expensive. We are so grateful for your support, and prayers. Please continue to keep us, my parents especially, in your prayers and that the Lords will, will be done.

Thanks for the update Carissa. This is all so interesting. So it sounds like they are trying to adopt someone wether it be Sasha or another little girl. Is that right? Would they be able to bring her home now?
Yes. They feel, at this moment, that there is someone there for them to adopt. Whether it is Sasha or Alena, or both, they are mainly just trying to do the Lord's will. As far as either of them coming home with them right now just depends on the government and red-tape mostly. So we are just waiting to see what happens right now.
So how old is Alena?
She is ten as well.
