Update

Hi everyone.  Here is another update on what is happening in the Ukraine.  This morning I spoke with my parents and they told me that it appears that they have permission to file the papers to adopt Alena.  Once they do that, i believe there is a ten day waiting period for someone in the Ukraine to object.  I don't know if they are planning on coming home during that period or not.  As far as Sasha goes, we have been told that she went to the director of the orphanage and told her amidst tears that she had changed her mind and wanted to come to America.  She was told that she would need to call and tell her aunt that.  I believe that no matter what, we will have to have her aunt sign documents "giving permission" for us to adopt Sasha.  My parents are of course willing to fight for her, but only want to do so if that is really what Sasha wants.  What a hard position for a ten-year old to be in.  I cannot imagine the emotions and struggles she must be feeling.  Please pray for her that she will know what is best and have the courage and strength to do whatever that is.  Also please continue to pray for us, especially my parents that they will be able to do the Lord's will.  Thank you for your continued support, love and prayers.  We truly do appreciate them.

So good to hear! My heart breaks for poor Sasha. No 10 year old - or anyone for that matter - should have to face a heart rending decision like that!! We know there are definitely angels, seen and unseen, involved in this matter. We pray that two of Sasha's angels who traveled to Ukraine will understand their role in this whole thing. They, too, are surrounded by angels! We truly "cry unto the Lord" for the best things to happen. Let me know what we can do to help you out. Love you all!
